Sweet,
is the motor done. I'll be following suit this summer if all goes well. MMmmm warm balmy evenings, with hands covered in grease. OBTW what are the specs for the motor? Stock 2.5L 8V? I want to try and geta hold of the '88 higher compression pistons and maybe a set of Pauter rods.

Probably be cheaper to get aftermarket pistons from like JE. They lighter and stronger, and they might even be cheaper. 944 factory pistons are damned expensive.

Or you could mill (fly cut?) the head and raise the compression...
