Sorry if I offend you guys, but why are you so hard on Craig? So he can't afford to go to the Pcar mechanics, and he can't afford to buy brand new OEM everything. Give him a break! When I started with my 912 I was in the same situation. Heck, I'm still in the same situation. Nothing says that someone with little money or little knowledge of the car (like me when I first started) can't work on the cars. And how can he get the car working if all you guys make is rude and snib remarks. How about we actually try to help him. I'm thinking strongly about getting a 944, but with attitudes like this, I'm not sure I would want to ask you guys for help. So, I don't know what Craig did in the past, but how about we all leave it in the past and try to help one another.

If I don't have certain knowledge, I will learn it step by step. I won't jump on it. Take something easier at the beginning and do complex think later. I do see a lot people will suggest someone to start restore a 912 without too much knowledge on cars or Porsches.
The result of your reply is to put him on a nonrealistic situation. The result of this will be an empty bank account, a lot of headache and wasting this young guy's time.
Remember, he is a young man. He probably has many many more important things to do than working on a car. Compare with young man's life, car is just a car, a pile of steel and plastic.
Think about opportunities cost for a you man.

Actually, people are trying to help him here. But he couldn't provide information logically but piece by piece.

Tim Strayer thinks he knows me. Keep calling him 'daddy' I'm going to snap. Tim you would not say 90% of what you say on here to my face, because before your yankee bred p.ussy a.ss got the second word out, I'd flat out jaw the hell out of you so shut your mouth. I paid for 1/2 of that stuff you mentioned, and NO we can NOT afford to take this to a porsche mechanic. ALSO, my mom is manic, we were going to sell our grandam to use for money toward the new car. Also you were like 'his mom found out after 10-15 years' SHUT THE F.UCK up. The car only worked for a total of 2 years MAYBE in all that time right up until I got it you DO NOT KNOW ME OR MY FAMILY SO STFU.

Craig944 10-12-2001 08:55 PM

I can take a joke, YOU HAVE NO IDEA how am in real life, I'm the one playing the God d.amn jokes. OMFG YOU ASSUMING *********s are such 'cyber bad@sses'. It's not your place to teach me shizat on the net. I DO NOT COME HERE FOR YOU LOSERS THAT HAVE WASTED YOUR LIFE TO TRY TO TEACH ME 'LIFE'S LESSONS'.(that's not directed at everyone btw)

you never said if your timing belt is ok... if the rotor was stopped in the #1 cyl position, that would explain the spark only at #1..... if the cap is off, just turn it over and see if the rotor is turning....

Yeah guys, stop being such @$$holes. I didn't see anything in craig's post that would indicate anything but him asking a question. I have noticed he has calmed down quite a bit this week, and I suggest that you all do the same.

Please disregard that last sentance.

He doesn't answer questions that people asked for helping him. Maybe he is busy looking for a pistol.

Craig - seriously, you're the one who is going nuts here. Several people are trying to help you, and you aren't following up. The only person here trying to be a "cyber Bad-a$$" is you. You're the one making all the threats. No one here has threatened you at all. You're the one talking all the ****. Grow up, and help the ones who are trying to help you.

stray15 10-13-2001 12:12 PM

I like how you say: "OMFG YOU ASSUMING *********s are such 'cyber bad@sses'"

Your the biggest Assumer of them all, your trying to say you can kick my ass without even seeing me. Thats the stupidest thing you could do....Thats all I am gonna say, no more from me.

Ribs, hahaha, that was great!

Craig, how'd your car sound with only the #1 cylinder firing? Was it smooth?

Anyway, do you still wanna race?
