Radio Noise

I have a 1994 968 Cab. I have a lot of noise in my left front speakers. The source is unknow but ther seems to be a loose onnection or broken wire. I get he noise even when the radio is off. The noise comes and goes depending on the surface of the raod. Local shops want to replace the entre system, radio, 12 CD changer located in trunk, and amplifies. Anyone have any thoughts on the source of this problem? I checkthe connections on the speakers and those on the amplifier and cd changer.

Depends on how the speakers have been wired. Usually the door speakers use the factory wire.

You can pull the speaker without pulling the door panel and check if the wires are secure. Otherwise it's a loose connection behind and under the radio.
