Hi Guys
I think I was the first to get the billet shifter that Dave951 offered on this board in July. I feel it deserves a feedback: Installation was very easy. My car has some form of modified shifter rod, so I had to file the bottom of the opening, but it seems this was a species quirk (951 Cup). Otherwise it was a straight enough work. After my shot pin in the original shifter, the shifting got much more precise, and the feel is more positive. The planes are better differentiated- 1-2 /3-4 /5--R The best that could be said is that after a while you simply forget that the part is non-factory, since the shifts are excellent. In summary, it feels like a superior piece to the factory item, and there is no sign that it would last less. GeorgeK |

That's what I thought - we've got the same shifter (see my shifter/knob/boot post).
Can we see pics of yours? ------------------ keith '86 951 redNeckarsulm |

Hi Keith,
Mine is deceptively standard looking, as I specified the most stock looking one. I kept my (well worn) leather boot and knob. I also kept the std throw. GeorgeK |
