Hi all. Just want to introduce myself.
I picked up my first 944 about 3 hours ago. It's a basic '83 needing lots of cosmetic work but mechanically quite sound - everything works, manintenance is up to date, & it has some minor performance upgrades.
I've been driving 911s on the track for some time, but this 944 is intended for daily use (OK, twist my arm to try a DE or two).
Looking forward to picking some brains here as I work thru the project. Thanks in advance. I gotta go take a drive now.

Unfortunately, the label by the LR taillight is gone and I do not have the original warranty book with the duplicate. Maybe I can estimate from the VIN?
Color is black on tan.

OOOPS! The car was advertised and the seller sold as an '83; however, it's an '84!
VIN WP0AA0940EN465511. Whadya' know?!
Must have driven 300 miles today. Wow - what fun. Thanks for the welcome guys.

Rscupper: Welcome to the 'other side.' I think you'll find the 944 a blast on the track. A totally different handling car, compared to the 911.

AA Alden U-pick-parts in Sun Valley has 944's on a regular basis for cheap parts. Steve
