Odd Question

I know this may seem wierd to some of you, but, how do I convert from an '87 951 offset to an '86 offset (I'd like to get some deeper dish rims). What kinda parts would I need? What's the PITA factor? TIA.

I think you will need...control arms, all brakes and brake components, hubs, spindles, and a few other odds and ends. If you want to swap all of that stuff with me (I have an 86' turbo), I would be glad too...as long as I can find somebody to buy my 17" wheels (they fit the older offset). With the swap, you can trade me your what ever kind of wheels (probably phone dials) for my 16" fuchs. If you have ABS, you won't after the swap. BTW, I would probably have to think about it more, but I want to fit some 18's on my car and it is a lot easier with the newer offset, so I am just kind of throwing out ideas here.

Sounds like too much of a PITA. Thanks anyway though. Why can't you put 18's on your car the way it is?

Well...I would either need to pay big $$ for some custom wheels like fikse or kinesis if I want something to fit my offset, or I would need to run huge spacers to use stock late model porsche wheels. Neither of them sounds too appealing. I would rather just bolt the late model wheels right on.
