I'll take experienced conduct for 200 please alex.

I know that I am relativley new here but one observation I have made is that this topic gets a LOT of coverage.

There have been many posts that I have one line answers to, simply because of repitition. I don't work in a factory and I don't want to do things over and over and over. Especially when a simple search is all that is needed.

There are new faces to this board almost daily it seems like. How do I turbo my N/A is not the best "break out" post. Maybe a nice introduction and a friendly hello.

Whenever discovering something new you should always look around and check things out. It's human nature. Man's biggest fear is fear of the unknown. Another wonderful aspect of man is impatience. Wanting things right away. Greed, self indulgence, that sort of thing.

Now I'm rambling.

It just saddens me to see this sort of argument over NOTHING.

I wasn't referring to myself. I am by no means an expert on these (or any) cars.
I judge experience by observing posts over the past year ive been here. You kind of get to know who knows their stuff.
Also, some things just hit a nerve, if you went over to the 911 forum and asked how to do an engine swap with a 350 chevy, or whatever.
No biggie though, he's made up his mind. I think everyone just needs a drink

Now tell us about the yearly socialist confiscatory license fees. Oh yes, break out the "carbon fees" too.

The only reason that mods are big business is the tax structure.

You were the one that brought politics into this debate, I said the cars are twice as expensive here as in other countries. Which makes mods a lucrative businiss. Wouldn't that pretty much cover it? Or do you want to make any further political statements?

You are preaching to the choire if you are aiming that propaganda towards me... Don't you think I know? Due to socialist cartaxes a new car is more than twice as expensive as in the US or Germany. You do not want to know what alcohol, tobacco and all that is "bad for you" cost over here...

But on the bright side, the money is not flushed down the toilet. After a large bureaucracy efficency loss the money goes back to the "people" in form of government services.

Technically I see this as a win win... if you want to go crazy fast get a motorcycle, heck a 500cc twin can smoke most street cars.
I say this sincerely... I really hope you don't hurt yourself, I'm not trying to scare you but there is a little thing about having four pins in my left leg about ten years ago.

FWIW I bought my 944 to keep my ass off motorcycles, but then I'm a middle age guy and the whole stoplight racing this just seems silly to me now.

Anyway this guy gets a bike and saves a but load of money trying to mod it for a few extra HP and one more 944 doesn't get hacked up... hurray!

If you click the giant orange "Post Reply" button you will come to a new screen. One row below the text box is a small link that says "attach multiple"

off topic a bit but recently I learned a bit about having an open mind on P-car mods.

Met an experienced porsche owner (many years, owns couple 911s, 914-6, 356s, 944 and 951. Was discussing his current '64 356 project. He is putting in a 1.7 VW/914 engine in it. Wow, always thought these engines were looked down on in P-land. Turns out to be a perfectly acceptable 356 upgrade.

let's just assume if a guy is smart enough to accomplish 944 swap or upgrade, he's smart enough to figure out economics too.

beauty of "bench-racing" or "bench-building" is it's free.

lighten up!

actually it'd work just fine, just dont use 1st gear. oh, the clutch might give out too.
