dome light

for 1988 944 n/a dome light.

rear-most position means always on. Works on mine.

forward most is what? On when door open, or always off .

middle position is what? On when door open, or always off.

when my door is open the light won't come on in either of these positions, anyone know what I should check for, bad wire etc

thanks

I have the same problem.

Front is supposed to be with the door.

My door buzzer comes on which tells me the door switch is operating. I think my actual light switch may have a bad connection...

Something is wrong with mine too, It seems like the swicth went to ****, It feels all weird and stuff, You cant even feel the notches for the different possitions anymore, and it doesnt work at all, SO I guess I will be looking for a new one.

The Fwd position is the door light, Mid Position is the Off, and aft is on.

They're about 8 bucks from of all places PELICAN
lol

But seriously,, There are a few ground wires connected to one end and a single large power connection on the other.
you could use a meter scheck the grounds are working through the door switch.

Mine never worked when I bought the thing...

Then one day I pulled the assembly down and noticed that the plastic had melted where the lever moved on and it was not making contact... so I rigged it to work temporarily untilll I can get a new assembly...

I've seen them for about $12 with the bulbs.

Check here at pelican first, I think they have them.
