Wheel Refinishing

I have the the black 5 spoke rims and am due for tires. Thought it might be a good time to send the wheels somewhere to get refinished - the alloy around the outside is dull and tarnished - can't get to shine - and there are numerous pits and scratches in the black areas. Any recommendations on a refinisher? Would assume that the wheels could be abrasive blasted, re-powder coated, and polished. Ball-park pricing per wheel? Thanks!

I just did mine myself and it is alot of work, took me about 3 hours per wheel, not working the whole time, but they came out amazing. I would save the money and do it myself if i were you. Let me know if you are interested and i will outline the procedure and some shortcuts i discovered.

There is a place in miami that does a 2day turnaround for $100 per rim. That includes everything that needs to be done, whether you want it powdercoated, polished, scratches/rash fixed whatever.

If you are interested I will get the name/number from my friend.

Would like to hear about the process. I have access to several abrasive blast cabinets and contacts at several powder coaters. You can e-mail me at gregj3477@insightbb.com. Thanks!

Look under the tech section of this site, there is an excellent tutorial about how to refinish your wheels.
