Angry OT: vent for the day

My 944 is seriously getting on my bad side, but its not its fault.
I almost want to put it up on ebay as is (you know, with the engine sitting on the garage floor). It is pissing me off to no extent. Today, I work on it for no more than 5 minutes and my little brother calls me. "Can you come pick me up?" "Where?" "Jessie's" Now, normally I wouldn't mind too much that my mom forgot to let me know that I HAD to do something, but this kids house is an hour away!!!

So crap, I already slept until 1. I got started on the car about 2:30. Now guess what. I get back and there is no daylight. I am pissed.

I never have any time to work on this. NEXT sunday is MINE. I get off work everyday at about 7. No time to work. I work every freaking day. I want to quit.

I HATE my truck.
Please someone - buy this thing. '03 Tacoma 4WD 5speed.

It is SLOW. I could walk faster from a red light. It sucks in the turns (it is a truck I guess...). The brakes absolutley suck. I want to smack whoever designed the ABS in this thing. I almost rearended some stupid woman in a van because she STOPPED as she pulled into a parking lot. I pull into the parking lot, and she stops in front of me. I was doing like 20. Not fast, until you consider this stupid truck is in full ABS because of a little bump when I pulled in. Now, ABS, good, right? Heh... If this were independent by wheel it might be decent. One rear wheel starts to go? PFFFFTtt... there go the brakes. I dunno how the hell it modulates the brakes, but I can definately say that I should be able to put A LOT more force on the front discs before they lock up. So, from 20mph, it takes me like 30 feet to stop.

I actually thought about destroying it intentionally just to get rid of it today

All because my car isn't running
BAH!

When I got back, I looked in the garage and I almost started to cry
I miss my car...

Hey I got a 2000 Toyota Tacoma extra cab V6 auto, no abs and I love it. But you need to remember that a truck and your Porsche are totally different, first off your truck is a truck, It cant turn for **** and you have the 4 cyl which is way under powered. Just relax the day of the Porsche will come

Brad -

I know how you feel about work getting in your way - I average 60+ hours per week of work, and then have to be a responsible husband at least one of my weekend days. and a father at least once a month (my son is in graduate school - that's all I get to see him). I have purchased so many toys over the years , and don't have much time to play with any of them (currently at 4 sports cars and 4 motorcycles). And until I get this freaking insulation and drywall done in my garage, I won't be able to use my new HVAC system to full advantage (due to rhumatoid arthritis, cold weather wrenching is completely out of the realm of possibility for me - it HAS to be warm or I "lock up"). But even though I can't work or ride them, I still enjoy looking at them, and someday, will get a chance to ride them again!
