Finally going to run nitrous
Finally got up the nerve (and saved the cash) to buy a NOS nitrous kit. $435 for 05123, including shipping, which I didn't think was too bad.
In order to prep the fuel delivery system--should I replace the fuel pump? What about the injectors, just have them cleaned and flow-balanced, or can I switch to turbo injectors? (I know Turbo Tim's website says he has some for sale, Tim will those injectors bolt in to an 84 944 fuel rail?). I remember at least two other people on this board are running nitrous, any install tips would be appreciated. Scott was one of them IIRC. Anything else I should keep in mind? I'll be running the smallest shot first, and moving cautiously... wish me luck. -- Semper Fi Cpl SH Won Wpns Co, 2nd Bn, 24th Marines |
Just make sure you don't over tighten any of the fitting.Just snug them and only put teflon tape or paste on the ones it says too.It will tell you which ones to put teflon on in the instructions. You don't have to change your fuel pump or injectors if they work correctly, but if you would feel better about it go ahead,It won't hurt anything anyway. The kit will come with a fuel pressure safty switch, which scott and I did'nt use because there's no place to put it. Just take your time and be patent....good luck. If you have any questins e-mail.
