how do i check resistance?

I need to check the resistance on my Idle Speed controler for my dodge stealth. Noone on those boards knows a danm thing as far as im concerned. Anyone here know how i would check the resistance on something like this to make sure its working properly?

Do you mean
A) where on the idle speed controller do i put the probes of my multimeter?
or
B) What tool do I use to measure resistance?
Don't know the answer to A, answer to be would be a multimeter.

an ohm meter, usually part of a volt/multi meter, hand held

Set it to Ohms, not volts.

Buy a digital one.

Harbor freight sells them for <$10

The stealth diagrams should have which "pins" on the plug to test across and what Ohms it should read if working properly.

Those guys don't know that? What do they forum about, picking up chicks? ;)

I like those dodge stealths, BTW. I have a friend who let me drive his, really nice.

seaboltman 03-10-2004 05:20 PM

I like mine. Has a nice exhaust system on it (not a coffee can). Does your friend have the R/T Turbo, or R/T? Turbo = godly. I have the mear R/T but i still like it. The turbos tend to fall apart easily because they rushed them off the line, and didnt upgrade the integraty of anything. *shrug*. Its ok i dont have to worry about it. Since i got it about 2 months ago i have had to replace the alternator, and i have an idle problem (hence me playing with the idle control) dont really know whats causing it. Of course, noone on the stealth boards can tell me anything.

<3 for porsche.

i walk by my wrecked 944 every day and say, what i wouldn't give to still be driving you.

*edit*

oh btw, <3 for family guy as well
