Radio Removal on 944?
How do you remove the radio (Porsche factory CD2) from a 90 944? Any special tools needed? Thanks.

There is a special tool, I believe FORD uses the same one.
But.. You can remove it if you find 2 pieces of wire (coat hanger like) and push into all four holes at once, releasing the locking tabs. The head unit should pull right out after that.

I replaced my radio with a new Blau, and it came with the u-shaped tools. The tools had hooks on the end so that when you insert them, you could pull the radio out with the tools. Handy, but coat hanger wire should work too.
