P.S.A. (got leak?)

and this just in from the "how not to ruin your porsche" department

i had a small oil leak, and added oil stop leak, not thinking it would really fix the prob, but not thinking it could make it worse...

afterwards a freind pointed out that porsche says not to use additives...

well, i think this is the reason why...

that black gum-like stuff was in all the wrong places, inside my crank, inside oil runners in the block... etc...

my motor is all done and back in the car, everything new or re-machined... it's faster then ever, and i love it... but it was a very expensive lesson, that i don't want anyone else to be forced to learn...

so if you have a leak, fix it right. the cheap way will cost more than you want to imagine
