What wheels will fit

I have an 83 and am looking to upgrade the wheels!

What is the correct ofset for my car?

Will 17"x8" offset 47 (Front) and 17"x9.5" offset 52 (Rear) with 5x130 bolt pattern fit my car? These have 255 50 17's on the rear will that clear my fenders?

Another option are 86 turbo phonedials will they fit?

How much should I expect to spend on wheels?

5x130 is the correct bolt pattern for Porsches, both 944s and 911s.

52 is the late offset. These will work on your car only with spacers. 1986 was the last year for the early offset for 944s, so turbo wheels from '86 will fit just fine. 911s used the early offset through 1989.

I am pricing spacers right now.

$30-175 pr. depending on how wide out you want to go.

You are probably talking about mm though right? If so, I am still trying to figure this one out for mine.

Another post running right now says 7mm additional spacer on the rear before having to get new lug bolts.

23mm is early offset. 86 951 PD's woll set you back a minimum of 85 bucks each. Closer to $150 EACH if straight, true and refinished with no curb rash.
Get some Fuch's and be happy. I WISH I could bolt those on mine..

I am taking it you guys don't really dig spacers?

Does it really matter if the car won't see the track?

(For track/drivers ed. I plan on putting the cookies back on.)
