Er macht einen Donnerschlag aus einem Furz

never said i was the first. just said i did it, and here's a picture of something i've actually DONE and "hey guys, you can do this too to make your car look nicer"

obviously it's not a bad idea, other people have done it before and after me.

other people have done it better than me too. so?

the point remains, i made a positive contribution to this community, and all you did was bad mouth me for having enough love to take a second and post a thread and a picture and advertise a meme to give other people another way to take pride in their cars...

i hope you spin a rod bearing or snap a timing belt for being such a presumptuous and pompous dumpfbacke.

I love it, was one of the best upgrades I have done so far, I cant wait to see what happens when I install FR wilks Power Prom 2 to the total package, The advanced timming should help out for more power. Any Questions just drop a line

Rob, nice job on the engine. Maybe if more guys that owned 944's took more pride in their cars, there would be fewer of them in the junkyard. As for rice, I guess all of us 911 guys are ricers, because we can't resist painting our engines. Here is mine after a complete rebuild:

Here are some pics of my motor. While I had it apart to do the belts, and cam tower gasket I cleaned everything and polished what I could. The Zinc MAF does not hold a polish very well though Let me know what you guys think.

I agree. Now go back to the 911 board and don't post any more stuff that makes sense, I find it unusual to agree with comments made by you. Unusual in a bad way .

Only thing I noticed that is different on your is the Fuel rail setup, The regulator and dampener are on the same side, On my 87 924S the regulator is on thr right side and the dampener is on the left, Look at my pic of the engine bay, Im sure yours is fine its a early model

As far as the 'rice' thoughts.....well, I don't consider minor stuff like cleaning and painting an engine to be rice. I am all in favor of people doing tasteful and functional mods to their Hondas, Toyotas, etc. Installing functional performance parts and understated appearance mods...that is not rice. Painting drum brakes...that's rice. I guess the standard for rice is akin to the old standard for pornography : "I know it when I see it."

I installed them 2 years ago. That is the stock location and where the mounting brackets are. Good eye! I am trying to replace all those little bits that get lost or broken over 22 years.
