Porsche 944S Chain Tensioner
Hi guys,
A simple enough question for most people I presuume....do you have to take out the camshafts to put in a new chain? Or do you actually split the chain, wrap it around the sprockets and rejoin? Thanks, Colm '87 Porsche 944S with 96K on the clock!

to replace the chain you have to remove the cams. If you only want to replace the tensioner, which is what I would do with 96k, you just have to remove the valve cover.
