Two large thumbs up for Pelican Parts

I ordered the goodies for my timing belt the other day, and was delighted to see the FedEx box at my front door. I opened it up and looked around, and after awhile I noticed I was missing something: the balance belt. My mom was like "Hey it's only 5 here, so it's 4 there, give em a call". So, naturally, I called and after getting a few different people I got to a gentlemen by the name of Jason. I told him what happened, he asked for the invoice number and then what was missing. After I told him I was missing the balance shaft belt, he informed me one would be sent out Friday, because he doesn't have any in stock right now. I asked if it could be over nighted because I was depending on it for Sunday, and after a 10 second or so pause, and some clicking and typing, he told me that yes, I would have it by Saturday. No run around, no hucklebuck.

_That_ is customer service. Thumbs up to Pelican and a very wam thank you to Jason. I'm looking forward to spending more money with Pelican in the future.

I thought they were pretty good a while ago, but the other week i emailed them about a new low temp thermo switch not not letting the fan switch off ever, and didn't get any reply (apart from a email with a web coupon for loyal customers a week later!) Even a reply saying why don't you buy this switch instead would have been better than nothing. I guess i should get round to phoning up if i'm really bothered about it!

Pelican parts is one of the most professional and dependible places ive ever shopped at.

My only complaint is that they're in california, and im in Canada...

So across the border delay and taxes = suck..

however..even AFTER those have been added to the price, they're still less than if i were to go to Pfaff porsche here in woodbridge and ordered the parts.

Either I'm the most unlucky person or Pelican has significant problems in their ordering and/or shipping system. Each of the 3 times I've ordered through them have received incorrect parts, parts not ordered (but charged for), or had missing items.

I bought from them solely because they support this forum and I've used it for the last 3 years, so I felt I owed them. I feel we are even now, so used Paragon recently, who had nice prices, good merchandise, and to top it off, they gave me what I ordered! Refreshing.
