Exclamation loud clicking noise when accelerating

out driving my 1985 (early half) yesterday
and noticed whenever i pressed the gas
pedal that there was a LOUD clicking sound
coming from the rear passenger side of the car.

sound not present at idle or when in gear with clutch depressed reving motor

any ideas on what this could be?

CV Joints is my guess. Do a search and you'll find a sheet load of info on them.

Sounds like CV joints to me, that is what mine did and sounded like when one was starting to go out.

so i cannot tighten any bolts???
i just have to replace is this correct?

Try tightening the bolts first, they could be loose. If not, sounds like it's time to replace them or rebuild/repack the joints.
