Oh I know. Some have opined I should just throw in the towel, but I love this car, & will be driving it in 2014 & beyond.

Don't give up.

You'll hate me for saying this... But grind it down. Take it to the bare metal. Make that a nice, clean, square area. Then primer it and begin looking for a donor rocker panel of that area. Cut to shape, weld in place, zinc coat, primer, and paint.

I don't hate you man, that is what is being done as we speak.

There is no previous repair on the car (unless you guys are seeing something I am not), it was just left to rot...very sad.

OUCH ...our cars with rust = rare. So now if you sell it you can say its a rare find and jack up the price. Woohoo!$!$!
