Flopping around radiator ????

I just replaced my upper radiator hose ( my fault - Doh !!! )

and, I noticed that NOTHING was holding the radiator in except the hose pressing it towards the front of the car.

Is this normal ????

Don

Unfortunately, I don't have the space or ability to look closer at it. I can't do ANY work on a car in my apartments. I was lucky to squeak in the hose replacement.

Had the same problem awhile back, radiator/fan assembly moved aft and the fan ate my radiator hose. There are two rubber radiator mounts that go in/on the bottom of the radiator. one was missing, the other one died of old age. They are relatively easy to replace and don't require disconnecting anything. You should be able to lift the radiator "up" and "aft" and replace/install the rubber mounts. You have to press them into the holes (you'll see). The only difficulty factor is the ground clearance. If you can raise the front end a little, you'll be good to go.

are the 2 brackets that go on top that hold the 2 top rubber bumpers there. I think I have 2 more of those. I sold a set of them and 2 rubber bumpers and a extra fan to someone on here last week that had the same problem. You actually have 4 of the little rubber mounts, 2 on top and 2 on bottom. Like I said the 2 top ones are held in with the 2 small brackets.

( going from memory )
I have # 4 ( 2places )
I DON'T have #2 (2pc ) and #3 (2pc)

So , I'll just order them and put them on the next time I am somewere that I can work on it.

Till then, I should be OK with just the hose holding everything in. Unless I pull a Dukes of Hazard ... Come on Flash !!! kew kew
