944S Exhaust
I need to know if the mufflers are the same on 87 944S and 89 Turbo S. I've checked my books and a few websites but can't find much info on mufflers.

No.
The muffler used for the S/S2 are different from the rest of the 944 line. The price also reflects this, unfortunately. The best you could do was $750.00 for an OEM for the longest time, but now I think that there's an aftermarket one for about $250. Don't know where to find it right now, though.
