Where is the parking brake adjustment hole?
I removed both rear wheels/spacers. i can see in all the holes in the drum. there are two that arent threaded but when i look in them all i see is the back of the drum. I dont see anything that could be adjusted by a screw driver
what, in this picture should i be adjusting?

Item 17 (the star wheel) is what you click downwards (or upwards) with the blade of your screwdriver to adjust the shoe pressure.

hmm just a thought, is it possible that a PO put the drum on upside down, or 90 degrees off so that the adjustment hole does not reveal the star wheel?

Sometimes it is hard to find the gear with your screwdriver. Oftentimes it is a ways over to the right or left. It's not a big thing and it is very easy to miss. Move your small screwdriver around in the hole. If you feel a small bump that bumps towards you it is probably the gear. If you can't turn it it probably is a little frozen. I wouldn't suggest oiling it.

Not sure how you'd do that... on my 944S, there were two set screws that held the whole rotor/drum on, and they were offset in such a manner that you couldn't misalign it. I wound up just clicking the adjuster outward until the shoes just touched when I put the rotpr/drum assy back on, then used the adjuster at the base of the E-brake to tighten it up.
Good luck with it, and check your timing belt tension. (No, that doesn't have anything to do with the brakes, just a warning from someone currently earning the BTDT shirt) Lynn
