brake pads and trans oil

I am looking for two things before I start a long trip to the north - quiet, clean brake pads (for 928 S4 brakes, right now I have racing pads on there, very noisy and very dirty). I am also looking for good transmission oil. I have heard that Rennline(?) is the best? I need something heavier than 75w - 90. My local autozone only carries coastal synthetic in that weight. Online retailers are fine, I hope to get it by next week.

I am using amsoil 75-140 sythetic in mine. It is heavier than specified and definitely shouldn't be used in the winter. It has quieted my synchro down quite a bit. My car shifts smoother, too. Unfortunately it is GL5 and will corrode your brass parts. Estimates are it will take about 50 years before the corrosion could affect your vehicle, though. Use at your own risk.
