O2 sensor
 

HI I changed my o2 sensor in my 84 944, and this is what I found:

should I be worried about the missing part?, I do have a rattle in my muffler, well I installed a universal $22 O2 sensor and the car seems to run better, I wonder why? lols

I wouldn't worry about the broken piece on a non turbo.

The oxy. readout will make the biggest difference at steady state cruizing and warm idle, and I'm sure you see an improvement there.
