944Fest in Ohio, July 4th.

It is time again for 944fest. Lebanon Ohio, July 3rd and 4th.

Last year there were 33 924/944/951's at the fest (The 928, 912 and 996 did make apperances, are welcome, but wont be in the official photo shoot for the event.)

This event is free- but donations are gladly welcome. I encourage you to make the trip- it is certainly worth it. I have been to many GTG's over the years, and I have to say this is the best and purest form of adoration for the Porsche 944 series.

It's all about comeraderie, fellowship and the love/hate relationship we can all appreciate with these cars.

Caravans are forming now. Lets make this the biggest and best yet. This year it's a Cajun theme- food will be catered.

There are door prizes, open acoustic guitar sets provided by the attendee's (If you play- bring it on!) , bonfire, plenty of parking. There are still vacancies at local hotels/ motels and camping is available for those wishing to spend Saturday night (And friday night for the die-hards)
I heard something about "adult beverages" for the "of age" but be forewarned- keys may be confiscated if inebriation results- and returned at a more sober time for safety purposes.

Sunday will culminate with a spirited ride on some amazing roads.

Damnit, I probably won't have pulled the engine by then, but the repairs will still be in primer, and the (remaining) paint looks like hell; will I be made fun of? Actually I don't care if I'm made fun of. Sounds like fun and only an hour from home. See ya there!

Ghen, don't feel bad, I am doing an engine swap right now to do it and my car has a lot of primer places as I am getting it ready for paint later this summer. I'll see you there, if you need help with an engine swap let me know I am learning as I go, almost have engine #1 out!
