slave cylinder install

Got ANOTHER new slave installed today.
Bled the system. All was normal.

Test drove it. Clutch was real soft for the first 10 shifts or so. But is now back to normal and has stayed there for another 30 shifts.

Do I need to bleed it AGAIN? Or is it ok?

You can measure through the inspection hole on the clutch.... you need approximately 18mm the slave piston to move.

Raise drivers side .... look in the inspection hole... I place a clear ruler in front of the opening....... then get someone to step on the clutch....and you can measure the throw...

Oddly enought the clutch seems to work bubbles through itself alot easier than the brakes do...

ok...

a month ago, I put in a new clutch master and slave, and now another slave because it was leaking so bad.

Pedal does not come back up all the way 100% of the time. I bled the system AGAIN. No air......

Pedal stuck to the floor a few times.

Is the new Clutch Master bad too? (after 1 month?)

There's a clutch pedal return spring to help bring the pedal back up. Follow the pedal upward and you should find it.

I'll try to find a diagram to better explain it.

the pedal is being pulled to the floor. It not just not returning.

Does that make a difference?

Your other slave failed after a month?

Something is not right--what was the condition of the hose connecting the master/slave?

Yep, pouring out fluid at the cylider head(where it meets the bellhousing) Must be a bad seal or something.

Now the same symptoms of the Master going bad. i had before when I changed it the first time.

The hose was fine.
