Stereo Wiring

I'm trying to wire a Blaupunkt Honolulu into my 86 944. The last installation was a total hack job so I'm trying to sort it all out and I'm left with a few questions:
In one "harness"
2 Brown Wires (Grounds)
3 Red w/Black wires ?
2 Green ?
1 Red w/White (Ignition starter?)
The remaining eight wires, I figure are speaker wires and I can sort that out myself. Any help is greatly appreciated. -Trevor

Do a search. A diagram listing wire colors has been posted recently.

When was the last time you changed your timing and balance belts and/or cam chain and tensioner?

Wish I could help you as I rewired recently but apparently the early wiring is totally different..If all else fails (as it did for me) get a voltmeter and start checking different scenarios. For example, you should find a constant 12V (goes to power lead on head unit), a switched 12V (remember "switched" means KEY IN IGNITION, not turned) that goes to the ignition lead, the antenna should be pretty evident unless PO took the crimp off...Good luck with the rest of them!

Just get one of those $2 pencil looking things that light up with 12 Volts., they have a wire with an alligator clip....

Great, so is the "always on" the "constant power" wire? My fader was bypassed when the P.O. put a pioneer unit in. This thing was so botched before it is extra confusing trying to sort all of this out. I appreciate the help.
