coolant leak

Hi friends

year 1990
model 944 s2

i'm hoping you can help find the name/part number of a small part.

i'll describe what happened this weekend and attach a picture of the engine with an arrow pointing to the area.

had a coolant leak over the weekend..... the area of the leak is on the drivers side......looking along the air intake and heading up past the air meter and above the throttle body?
there are 2 of them, its a plastic L shaped valve, each with a hose attached. its just pressed in, one on either side of the hose that comes up and goes thru the hole in the intake manifold....

one of the popped out and sprayed anti freeze all over

any idea of the name/part number???

thks for your time and help

Very common problem. This nipple is not available separately, so you have two options:

1) Clean up the area well with degreaser and roughen the surface, then use some epoxy (JBWeld) to reattach the nipple.

2) Use a short piece of copper tubing (1/2 inch ID, as I recall) to bypass the throttle body altogether.

The purpose of the fitting (I imagine, no confirmation from Porsche) is to keep the throttle body from icing up on long open throttle runs (i.e. Autobahn).
