Just some info
FYI, those of you out there with manual steering racks, the rack centering plug happens to be the same size as the male fitting on a grease gun. Per chance I removed the plug on the rack as well as the zerk fitting adapter on the gun (I have both a flex hose and a solid extension GG) and the threads matched. I just wanted to share that tidbit.

whyd you have a grease gun at the track? trying to kill everyone so they cant compete? hehe
ps i know what a grease gun is, but i was refering to the WWII nickname for a submachine gun...

Nifty, so you can screw a zerk fitting in there and grease it every now and then.
i wonder what kind of grease is recommended. ie. lithium v/s moly.
