Check the availability of a spark with starter fluid. If that fails (and I am going through the same thing with my '84) look at the suggestions under my post "Adios, perhaps". That is what I will be doing, eliminating the possibility of fuel pump failure, then the relay.

For ignition, there are suggestions on www.frwilk.com and www.clarks-gerege.com

First you need to verify the "no Spark" condition. Make sure it's not a "No Fuel" or "no compression" problem.

A troubleshooting guide will help you a lot...even a general guide (although it would be preferred that it address this car specifily) So you don't miss anything. Have a repair manual for the car?

You'll need to start narrowing the problem down. Once you have an idea what system is not working, the people on this forum can really help you out.

Can start with some of these...

Check for loose ground wires.
Check plugs one at a time
check wires for resistance with Ohm meter
check dist cap / rotor
check compression

Check fuel pump relay switch too...

Have a look at
http://www.clarks-garage.com/shop-manual/ts-01.htm

Clarks-garage.com is a brilliant place to start looking for all your broken 944 needs.
