Lookout! RICE!! - w/ 944 content

Look at what they did to me! The heresy!!

and, took this one today:

Anyway, 'they' is the Mazda dealer, and what they did to me, was take that horrid '03 Tacoma (gave me too much, really) and let me take this home instead

Pretty good daily driver about as fast as the n/a, handles darn good for fwd... I can enter turns about the same speed as the n/a, but lose it through the corners (unable to power around, understeer), but its fun no gas in corners = oversteer... amazing, really.

Anyway, must feel booooost... must feel booooost (guess I need to hurry up and fix my gas leak, huh?)

I had the luxary of taking 3 deifferent mazda 3's around a track. One was a 4 door, one was a wagon, and one had strut spring combo, with intake and exhaust. It was my first time driving a FWD car hard through corners and Ihated all of them. FWD is so retarded, IMO it's for chicks and chicks alone.

Sure, if you don't know how to drive a fwd car fast, its gonna suck.
You can put things to use such as trail braking and stuff Very fun to drive fast, handles very well.

Serge - I don't care about usefulness.... The taco had NO room INSIDE for thing like computer parts, which is big, cause I do svc. calls and stuff.

In that case, you should have gotten a honda odyssey. Its 240 hp will smoke tires like nothing and i bet you could stick a whole lot more computers in it.

I love my 924S, I can drive it in snow as well as anyone can, but I still recognise the superiority of FWD in most applications. Better traction in adverse weather, safer "oh ****" handling (defaults to understeer, safer for most normal conditions), greater packaging efficiency. For a people-mover it's just a better setup.

That said, I still prefer the feel of RWD. And RWD is better for tow vehicles too.

Not bad!... just slightly slower than my Wifes Passat @ 5000 ft elevation.

However, now that I'm at sea level the Passat feels a little quicker.
