removal of power seat with no power?
i am trying to remove the power driver seat on a 88 944, but the wiring has been stripped from the car. I can't move the seat foreweard and backward because normally thats done electronically. I've done everything I can, and im close to just cutting out the floor pan cause its a parts car. Is there anyway to manually slide the seat foreweard and backward to get to the allen head bolts to remove it?

looking at my wiring digrham it shows the following pins for the seat junction block. should have 8 pins.
pin #2 on input is yellow/black 12v in pin #7 is ground, brown wire pin #8 red/black input 12v pins #1-3-5-7 on the seat look to be tied together as grounds pins #4-6-8 are tied together input. looks like pin #2 is specifiec to seat heater circut if equiped. so applying 12v to pin 4, 6, or 8 ( on seal block it is any of the 3 red wire terminals and the ground would be any of the terminals on the block that have brown wires. ..i hope this helps

When I first started cleaning up my car after it sat for a few years I actually had to prop a JACK between the back of the seat and the panel under the backseat to get the seat to even move...an inch. It took several applications of wd-40 and a ton of brute strength to get them. Took them out and oiled them and they work great now.
