Porsche version of the 327 vette engine in a Vega-That worked VERY well : is THIS feasable???

i have also heard that a 928V8 will fit in the 944 engine bay... but has anyone actually done it, that is the quesiton.

Kelly-Moss Racing did one, all you have to do is replace the front clip with a custom built tube frame and a few other things. Seems like an excellent project to me. Of course, the 928 engine weighs as much as a BBC.......

There were pics of such a transplant (928 into 944) but the entire front subframe had to be fabricated. Engine is far too wide, according to the original post.
