Question Weight balancing car on loadcells

I have not seen any threads describing weight balancing P cars. I am told by the racing fundis in our Porsche club that this involves placing the car on 4 loadcells with the tank filled with the typical amount of gas/petrol and a driver/weight in driving seat. The individual wheel suspension height is then adjusted so the 2 front wheels weights balance on the front loadcells, and then the same thing for the rear.
Has anyone done this and has it improved roadholding much? Before spending major bucks on suspension upgrades it may be worth a try. I have not done this as I do not do serious racing, only autocross.
