Another satisfied eBay user

Check this out. This guy is selling his 951 on eBay for $8k. He just bought it in April for $8800 and called it a "piece of crap". You really have to be careful of the feedback you leave for others on eBay. Who would dare buy a car from a guy who feels that way about it?

Wish I knew where I could get this laundry list: "things done to car camshaft driver belt,oil pump sleeve,aux. belt tensioner and belt,aux. shaft roller,front engine seals,timing belt tensioner and belt,v-belt,crankshaft seal,water pump o ring,timingbelt roller, battery,cd player,speakers,oil change,front brakes,rotors,e brake adjusted new coolant hosessunroof track and gearac redone to 134a incuding new fittings, r&r drier,ball joint rebuilt w/control arm this car is ready to go ppl only thing not done yet is clutch and was told if iwas not racing it did not need it yet. thanks hope this helps been getting alot of emails asking this" for $3,200, that sounds like a steal to me...

And if he paid $8K for a 951 that needed that, I bet he gets a PPI for the next one...

someone should email him and say, "I will give you $5000 for it and not a penny more because you explicitly say it is a piece of crap in the previous owner's feedback."

nynor 07-29-2004 10:10 AM

i emailed him asking him why the car was no longer a piece of crap, mentioning the feedback he left. he replied that $3200 work later it is no longer a piece of crap. i wonder what the hell he was thinking keeping it in the first place. i would never spend that kind of money without seeing the car with my own eyes.

uh, the VIN on that first auction returns as a;

1990 LEXUS ES 250 (JT8VV22T7L0111870)

wtf?

daxdog 07-29-2004 11:10 AM

Read the fine print. He built a Porsche 944 using a Lexus ES 250 as a donor! 8-D

CJFusco 07-29-2004 01:40 PM

where does it say that he built it off a lexus?

daxdog 07-29-2004 01:50 PM

I was kidding.
