88 Blaupunkt CD player in a 87???
We got our car running great so now it is time to do the little upgrade things like swapping out the stock Blaupunkt AM/FM tape player for a Blaupunkt AM/FM CD player that came out of an 88 944. Is this a simple swap (pull out the old, plug in the radio/CD to the existing wiring harness, & enjoy)?
While we're on the subject of the stereo system, any recommendations for speaker replacements in the stock locations?

I have a honolulu stereo in my 86...but from the total hack-job I pulled out of the dash, I'm going to assume it's not a simple plug-n-play swap.

i replaced the stock blaupunkt speakers with sony two-ways. surprisingly, they don't sound all that much better. the stock blaupunkt speakers are actually very high quality speakers.
