Centerforce clutch

I bought a duel friction Centerforce clutch for my 1983 944. When I installed it I found it had a grinding when I engaged the clutch. After taking it all back apart again I found that the added weights that are on the pressure plate were rubbing and grinding against my clutch fork. When I looked on Centerforces website I believe it said that the added weights were not put on my model of car because of clearance issues.
Has anyone ever had this problem? Should I just remove the weights? Any help would be very much appreciated (taking the clutch out of this vehicle is not an easy job).

Contact the manufacturer...not the manufacturer's clients.

I would check with the manufaturer before doing anything. Maybe the packaged the clutch wrong or something. I would NOT remove the weights from the clutch since it may be designed to use them and could blow apart with out the weights.
