I made two speaker decks that fill the rear wheel well areas (behind the wheels) in the furthest back portion of the trunk. Sounds awesome with the hatch open, even better acoustics inside since the sound reflects off of the glass into the cab. Now i just need an amp...

Also, when i get a radio that'd be nice :)

What size speakers did you use, Brando...and how did you make the decks? Pics?

for the deck you could take the cardboard thats there and use that as an outline on wood to make wooden ones then make holes for your speakers in the wood... and 10s wont fit there without being lifted out a bit like the previously posted pics.

It's three speakers per deck with a crossover/frequency splitter on each deck. The decks are pretty ugly, but made out of basswood. I'll try to snap some pics... I've meant to get them covered with black viny or carpeting or some such...

Speakers are as follows:

Pair of JBL 10" Subs, pair of 5" midranges, 2" tweeters. I'll take pics tonight.

That's sort of what I'm doing (brando's things) but it sounds like you just made deck...? I made sealed boxes. Guess a deck is fine for midrange speakers. Not pretty but they're covered by carpet. I'll take a picture of it when I get my car back, hopefully tomorrow. I don't think a 10 would fit in there flush because of the sidemarkers. Plus, you'd have almost no space on the sides to mount it to the wood.

i made the decks so they fit into the behind-the-wheel-well areas with no gaps -- thus acting like a sealed box. Plus, they weigh more as boxes... gotta stay near that perfect 50/50 balance ;)

Does anyone have specs for the boxes that go behind the wheel wells? thanks
