Dash light help

OK,

Here is a picture of the back of my gauge cluster.

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1091925957.jpg

The green lines point to the little lights that are OSRAM 12V 1.2W.

The red lines point to the 3 big light that go into the reflectors. They are OSRAM 12V 2W

Questions:

1. When I buy the bulbs, do they come in the plastic cups, or do I take the bulbs out and put new bulbs in those cups.

1a. Do these bulbs screw out or what, I can't get mine to move & am afraid of forving anything.

2. Where can I get direct replacemant for these bulbs, and what are they called.

3. What is the LED replacement for both the large & small bulbs? (this one is for Misty)

Thanks in advance. I do not know why I am so "bulb challenged".

Twist them to the left to remove them - they are sort of a bayonet fitting.

They come with the plastic fitting. No need to change the bulbs over.

Pelican sells them all as far as I know. Just be specific as to what you need.

In my cluster (late - looks like what he's got) the big bulbs are 194 and the small ones are W1.2W. The replacements I got do *not* come with the plastic bases. Yes the feel tight but they do turn counterclosckwise maybe 90 degrees to remove.

good luck

just to let you know as well..i tried putting blue bulbs in mine today..dim as hell...So if anyone is thinking about it dont do it. I couldnt even read my gauges. I guess I'll have to get LEDs put in.

You need the wedge-base bulbs type 194/168 I think. As far as I can tell, they are NOT as bright as incandescents...But if you clean your light tunnels they should be fine (I assume). Plus, you'll only have to change them once. When I got mine they didn't come with the plastic fitting, but it was easy swap the bulbs. Good luck.

Wow, somebody that actually had success with those. I have seen them tried on 4 different occasions, and all times they were rated as fit for the pit.
For what it's worth, I've had a few really terrible experiences with those guys, and no longer order from them.
