Florida Pelicanheads......

Survived Charley

Brevard County, highest sustained winds, between 60 - 70 MPH

6 - 8 inches of rain, no severe damage in this area.

Most of the west coast and central Florida pelicanheads are still without power or still evacuated I imagine.

He will be visiting me in a few hours. I've been in more hurricanes in 12 years in NC then I did living 20 years in central FL.

yeah, we didn't get hit too hard. Nothing like Charlotte and Ft. Myers. Trailors rolled over and trees down was about all the damage here.

Home Depot was open and selling generators and room A/Cs like they were free. I'm one of those idiots who stood in line for 2.5 hours waiting to check out just so I could have internet and cold air.

On a happy note, the DSL works!

I'm ok, I'm ok...

We barely even got wet.

Spent the weekend helping friends from Ft. Myers.....they got spanked.

Glad everyone is good

Hey if you want to join let me know. It's government relief work. 2 weeks of hard 12 hour days. Decent pay and all expenses paid, but a great cause. Crazy!

Well, any pelicanheads heading down here drop me a line.

Melbourne Fl, winds 100+ MPH, I lost some trees and part of my roof. (I live on the mainland.)

Barrier islands were devistated.

Thumbs down

We got hit pretty hard. Sustained winds of 60 mph+, lots of damage. 3 Tornadoes within 1 mile of me. My new screen enclosure over my pool is ruined, no trees lost just a bunch of huge limbs and branches, no electricity water or phone for over 36 hours now (I'm on the work computer). This sucks.

We got a bit of wind....the usual. Lost some limbs and whatnot (tree limbs!)

I drove up to Gainesville once the storm left land (monday) , lots of rain and wind. Almost all of the billboard signs lost all of their panelling and ads.

Driving back monday afternoon was beautiful.....little traffic, no wind and lots of sunshine....amazing the difference a few hours makes.
