Front bumper
Has anyone removed the rubber bricks from the front bumper and made it smooth?
If anyone has done so please post with any helpful hints, pictures, etc. Thanks, GHEN

I have not. however, I did see a 924 that had it done. The owner took the bumperettes off, brought the aluminum bumper to a welding shop, had the holes filled in, ground down, used a tiny bit of body putty to finish the area, and had it painted. Looked pretty good.

Ghen,
Wolfpri did this.. actually looks pretty gnarly, I like it. BUt what I don't like about it the damage you could do ( or be a victim of) if you are tapped or tape something parking. YOu're more prone to chip the paint. Wolfpri also, drilled holes in the bumper shocks, drained them and bolted them (compressed) so his front bumper is now alot les obtrusive.. try a search on Wolfpri

Here are 2 mods.. Wolfpri bumper mod.. Looks good, but I wouldn't do it just because we gat lits of ice and bad weather for quite a few months on end here in S.E. Pa. And I' like my bumpers to actually do their job. ![]() Good luck though Frank B
