..okay...maybe "never" is a bit extreme. But I'll sure not be doing it for a while...

Everytime I was my car I find a new aspect of one of her previous lives hidded beneath the paint...this time it was because I removed the paint.

While trying to rid myself of the last couple days worth of grasshopper slop, a little clear thin object flaked up from within the inner edge of my bumper...so I sprayed it trying to get the grasshopper wing, that I thought it was, off. But it wasn't "getting off"...it was only "getting bigger". Upon closer inspection is, indeed, paint. Apparently the lower valence was also repainted. All of the repaint is now off in a pile of opaque burgundy flakes.

Good news? The paint underneath, thestock burgundy-ish color, is beautiful except a minor blemish or two.

im ****in all of that...im sanding the car down to the bare metal and repainting it..thats going to cost me some $

I'm probably going to get frustrated with it and just resort to my all time favorite color...primer black.

Primer black sounds pretty good... But I have to say, while at first I didn't really like the burgundy color on these cars, It's grown on me now and I really do like it...

I like it. Seriously. I hate burgundy, too...but this color has grown on me.

I'm the exact same way, before I got the car it was one color that I said I'd never get.

me too, but slowly, my touch up jobs are becoming a paint job with a little more shine. i really wanted a black one.

Give the burgundy some time...I'm not a big fan of burgundy sports cars either, but my best friend had a 1986 944S with a turbo front bumper that was absolutely gorgeous.
