cooling problems

Hi there. I posted a question here about a week ago and I want to thank you all for your answers. I have one more question though.

I replaced the thermostat, water pump, rad, and thermo fan switch. The block is fine but my temp guage still goes up into the red. I am changing the temperature sender, fuses and the relay, but I can't seem to figure out where the temperature sender goes on the block. It's the one that sends info to the guage inside the car, not the sensor for cold starts.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Inder the intake manifold, roughtly between cylinder 1 and 2, you will see 2 sensors, one feeds the gauge, the other sends info to the DME. I THINK (can;t remember) the one further to the back is the gauge sender.

The plugs are kinda hard to get to, but it can be done.

Two different types depending on what year the engine is. The early 944's had a single connection. The later a plug on with two connectors. When a later engine is installed in an early chassis you plug the single wire onto the larger of the two pins.

I had changed my temp switch and was still going over 3/4. It ended up that I was running a low temp thermostat but a normal temp cooling fan temp switch. They apparently did not like each other and the temp was still getting very high. My mechanic replaced it with a low-temp switch and everything is cool now.
