Door panels I have will not fit the rust bucket you just bought.

Any one want manual door panels for a 923/931/944/951?

When was the last time you changed your timing and balance belts and/or cam chain and tensioner?

Just be sure to give the new car a radiator flush

The more P-cars the merrier, right?

Asking if you should replace that timing belt is like asking if you should re-use a condom that may have in hole in it with a hooker.

nice, man. Any pics? Is it a big project or is it in good shape?

The 76 I'm getting is a rust bucket deluxe. I'll post some pics on the 914 board... It's pretty sad actually. I priced the replacement metal from pelican. So far my cart's up to $1,000 (roughly).

I knew a guy with a 914.
One day some friends suggested that I make fun of his car because it was just a sup'd up VW.
I reminded them that a car with two seats, a light weight tubular frame, high performance brakes and a sup'd up VW engine was not a bad thing.
It was however a really horrendous orange colour.

The hours your Porsche spends parked, you don't get those back.

Thanks guys!

It isnt a project car (although it is project-car material), it's my new daily driver.

Now all i need is a 356 parked behind my other 2 cars and i will have my own little odd-car-out timeline in front of my house.

Oh yeah, love that targa top

You'll love it. I had a 914 and a 924S sharing space for a year or so (had the 914 for three years before that) and it was great. But I moved and was consolidating so the 914 and 924S got traded for a very, very, very nice '89 944. Beautiful car in amazing shape. Gotta love it.

There will be another 914 someday though. Just a few years down the road.

Aaron

Just one little tip for the 914, same as for every Porsche: Don't lift throttle in mid-corner... It's catch-able but kinda scary the first time. Goes from slight understeer to wicked oversteer really quick.
