1988 Special Edition?

I am a cross over from the 911 board looking for some help from you guys. Does anyone know of a Special Ediiton 1988 model? Particularlly one that would carry such a huge premium as this model... thanks for your help folks.

no....polished stock wheels, expanded steel bumper inserts, and a shiney exhaust do not a special car make.

There was a special edition 944S in 1988 - the paint was almost a purpleish grey - same as the anniversary edition 911 of the same year.

There was also the 944 Turbo S - a silver rose metallic with a red plaid interior with leather.

This car is a standard 944 NA with the cloth interior option - a DOWNGRADE from the original leather.

Certainly not worth the 7k he wants for it.

This is a Scam, run away

Doesn't that throttle cam look like one from an automatic tranny car, that's what mine looks like. I thought the five speeds were different, without the little tail looking thing.

944 special edition

The car in that add is a special 88' 944. It is option code 757. They came in two colors, one being this metallic black and the other zermatt silver. They all had the plaid grey cloth seats with the rear being split. All came with the 16" wheels but the rest was the same. I own one of each color and mine are super nice.I don't know why this guy would feel his monkeyed with, super high mile car would be worth that much $. But maybe he'll find a sucker.

especially since the fiberwerks front bumper is not very well-fitted.

oh, Dumas, that is the stock 944 throttle cam. The other one that you are referring to is probably the upgraded Weltmeister throttle cam that a lot of us install ($20 and about thirty seconds of your precious time). They are round and usually red.
