Need help with the value of an '88 924S motor??

On Monday I bought a badly hit '88 924S with 92K that had a couple of body pieces I wanted. It was kind of on a whim, so I hadn't given much thought what to do with the rest until I answered a WTB:a 944 motor post. He asked what I wanted for the motor and I don't have an answer. Althought it was hit very hard in the driver's side, it still starts and moves, but the 60 year old woman owner hasn't worked in 6 months as a result of accident. She said the belts had been done a year or so before, but there are no records... Regardless, the motor sounds tight, there is no smoke and it idles dead steady at about fact, it idles better than my current motor!!! It is an automatic, so was probably not as stressed as a 5 speed. There is some fluid on the passenger side front of the motor, but that may be power steering fluid as there is a clear leak from one of the hoses.

Any idea of the value of this motor?? Thanks for your reply!

Ask the buyer of the motor what he feels is a fair price. He probably already has a price that he would like to pay in mind. You bought the car for a few panels so the sale of the motor would be a bonus.

just my opinion
