Paint Codes

Hey all, having a bit of trouble with paint codes; On my 1984 na the code is LZ7Z which going by Clarks Garage is Gemini Grey.
I wanted to touch up a small bit of damage to the front valance and went to my local autostore (nationwide in the uk). And they were able to make up a Holts spray overnight. Tried it and the match wasn't even close too dark, took it back and now its too light.
When I got the car there was a spray with the car that was a perfect match but named Slate Grey LZ7Z? I'm now at the stage where I have a compressor and want to spray the car front properly but I'm worried about getting paint and the match is off. I realise it won't be perfect, anyone in the uk know of a reputable place that gives a good colour match or what the colour name is? Theres a pic on my pp page below.

I use paintscratch.com (which I checked and the paint code matches) but it is US based.

Strath, your porsche dealer will have the paint, the exact same stuff that is on your car. It may be slightly more expensive than getting it made at some backstreet paint shop, but you'll get the right stuff!!

There\s a lot of confusion with Audi/VW paints also as they have very similar codes. (My Audi 90 is LZ3Z which is dark blue!) It may be that LZ7Z is different in the States (i doubt)
It could be that, like me, your car has faded...
