Britwrench

I just heard from a friend that Mark Peters (Britwrench) had a fall two weeks ago.

He apparently hit his head, and is still in ICU at Harborview Hospital in Seattle. He still cannot breathe on his own, and I don't know if he has regained consciousness or not.

Let's keep him in our prayers.

Just called Britwrench's shop and got an update from Ronin.

Apparently, Britwrench fell off a ladder and broke a bunch of ribs, collarbone, as well as a head injury. The breathing tube is necessary due to broken ribs and high doses of pain killers. They are supposed to be removing the breathing tube sometime within the next few days.

He is conscious (as conscious as you can be with a bunch of pain killers and a breathing tube in any case) and responsive.

Fingers remain firmly crossed for a speedy and complete recovery.

wow, that is really bad news. I hope he makes a quick, full recovery. I can tell you from personal experience that broken ribs are No Fun.

Very sorry to read this thread. From reading his informative posts, I got the impression that Britwrench is a stand-up guy. He will definately be in my prayers. Those of you who can provide info to the rest of us, please do. AFJuvat, your post points to the seriousness of his injuries, but it is upbeat compared to Blackfoot's initial very dark post, and I hope it indicates improvement in Britwrench's condition.
