Uhmmmm I didnt touch my crossmember either time when pulled from above......

but the tranny was pulled on both of those occasions

AND THE TORQUE TUBE WAS PULLED BACK...... Sometimes I dont think you are reading or listening? Either pull tranny or drop crossmember........... DECIDE.

And for future reference ........STICK WITH ONE FLIPPEN POST

I could have swore the haynes manual discusses dropping the tranny. I was reading the engine removal, and there is one or two sentences that say remove transaxle and slide torque tube back. I almost missed the one that says 'remove exhaust' when doing the clutch...

ok Im going over to work on the crossmember.... wish me luck.. hopefully I'll come backwith it out..my plan? just undo every friggin bolt under there until it falls on my head. later.
